Wheat Diseases in Agricultural Systems

The monograph is based on world achievements, scientific research and production tests of the department of phytopathogenic bacteria, the department of physiology and systematics of micromycetes of the D.K. Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology of the NASU, Department of Virology, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev, Institute of Environmental Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Opole (Poland) on wheat plants, taking into account various soil and climatic zones of Ukraine and Poland. The monograph describes the symptoms of wheat diseases, their distribution and harmfulness, their pathogens and strategies for protecting wheat from pathogens of bacterial, fungal, viral and phytoplasma diseases are characterized.

The monograph is addressed to research workers, farmers, employees of agricultural advisory centers, as well as students of Agriculture.

Monografia oparta jest na światowych osiągnięciach, badaniach naukowych i testach produkcyjnych dotyczących pszenicy, z uwzględnieniem różnych stref glebowych i klimatycznych Ukrainy i Polski. Badania te prowadzone były we współpracy Wydziału Bakterii Fitopatogennych oraz Wydziału Fizjologii i Systematyki Drobnoustrojów, D.K. Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology NASU, Wydziału Wirusologii, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev, a także Instytutu Inżynierii Środowiska i Biotechnologii, Uniwersytetu Opolskiego. Monografia opisuje objawy chorób pszenicy, ich rozmieszczenie oraz szkodliwość. Scharakteryzowano także ich patogeny oraz strategie ochrony pszenicy przed patogenami chorób bakteryjnych, grzybowych, wirusowych i fitoplazmatycznych.
